There’s something magical about curling up in a cozy coffee shop, knowing that your dream clients are about to warm up the conversation. With my go-to drink (a Scooters signature hot caramelicious) in hand, I met with Briana and her mom for our first epic conversation. Here we “ooo’d” and “ahh’d” over her mood board for her dream wedding – everything so trendy and right up my alley. As a wedding designer, I love when people bring what they can to the table. While not necessary, it’s always fun when clients bring a mood board. In this case, it helped show me (visually) everything she dreamed of for her wedding. And it fit her so well.
Top Faves for this Wedding Designer
She’s a dream client. She trusted my judgment, explained things in ways that my team could understand, and helped lead us to help guide her to her dream wedding. I love it when I can feel a strong connection; someone who we inspire by also inspiring us to create more for our clients. They help us show up as our best selves to help make an idea they might not be able to visualize or execute flawlessly.
The King’s Table
Baby’s breath blooms with symbolism – everlasting love. So, we dropped an 8′ long garland down the king’s table with varieties of roses, varieties of ranunculus, and cosmos. It was S T U N N I N G. To give it even more flare; we added floating candles in cylinders and dove deep into the disco era with shiny, pretty disco balls.
Guest Photo Backdrop
Wedding backdrop rentals are an excellent way to complement your wedding theme. It helps entertain guests, + the pictures are epic (especially in an open bar). For Brianna + KC’s wedding, we designed a backdrop with seven varying-sized disco balls, cloud clusters of baby’s breath, and varieties of roses from a wooden arch – G O R G E O US! It took over an hour to complete.
The Lucy
Our Lucy girl acted as an all-in-one event prop for this wedding. This Italian min-truck served as follows:
- Welcome sign: This lets guests know they are in the right place and time.
- Generations of Love: The couple honored their parents and grandparents by showcasing photos of those before them on their wedding days.
- Memory display: We needed to honor loved ones by creating a memorial collection, especially after KC’s mom’s recent passing. We added some flowers tucked into one of her vases.
Queue the corn kid, “have you ever seen a more beautiful thing?” We dressed The Lucy with a massive display of flowers – varieties of roses, ranunculus, cosmos, snapdragons, and dahlias. Additionally, we kept the vibe going with plenty of votive candles and disco balls on the floor to surround photo frames. It’s a piece of art. I love being a wedding designer in Omaha!
The Bridal Bouquet
To keep the theme, we created the bride’s beautiful (yet delicate) bouquet by incorporating all the flowers previously utilized. Bridesmaids’ held a single stem bloom as they watched their bestie say, “I do.”
Guest Tables
With 20 guest tables, we created beautiful centerpieces that significantly enhanced the attraction of tables with high vibrations, floating candles, twigs of baby breath, and other blooms.
Ceremony Decor
Loved, loved, looooved creating ceremony decor that allowed me to get creative. Here we added one abstractly placed flower arrangement in the center of the wooden arch with ivory drapery panels. Isn’t it gorgeous?
You know how a bride and groom will do a first look? Wellll, we like to do a “first look” for our wedding designs. So, after a whopping (but worth it) 5 hours of set up, KC and Brianna came to view the decor. And *dust off shoulder* we did not disappoint. We received several comments from friends and families that our wedding designs brought them in awe. While the couple skipped off to meet with the photographer, I hung back to chat with Briana’s mom, Denise, who sent me through an emotional loop by reminding me why I am a wedding designer – and do what I do. It’s moments like these.
While we do not specialize in weddings in Omaha, we specialize in celebrating everything. No matter the size of the event, we always treat it as if it’s our last event to plan. We treat our guests with the utmost respect by listening to their needs + dreams and zooming off on a plan that will genuinely impress their guests.
Thank you again, Briana and KC, for choosing The Party Bar. We’re tickled pink that we could help bring your day to fruition and know that you’ll cherish these special moments for the rest of your life.
